Robert P. Madison International, Inc. (RPMI) was the Associate Architect for the Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center Project.  RPMI had responsibility as the bridging architect to take the Criteria Architect’s’ design development drawings and produce the Contract Documents.

Due to LMN (the Criteria Architect) working in Bently software and the Design Build Team using Autodesk software, two non-compatible software programs, RPMI had to start from scratch in building the computer model. In this fast track project, RPMI issued the first package in just two months and the final package, including interiors, in an additional 5 months.

RPMI was architecturally responsible for 276,500 gross square feet of the Convention Center Project, including the most highly finished spaces (Grand Ballroom, 16 Meeting Rooms,6 Flexible Meeting Rooms, Prefunction Spaces, Kitchen, Commissary and other Back of House Spaces)  RPMI was also responsible for fully coordinating the project with numerous consultants to ensure a complete set of documents.

RPMI provided Construction Administration Services, including Shop Drawing review, RFI responses, Navisworks MEP coordination, field observation, and punch list services.

RPMI also produced two separate early bid packages, the Mass Demolition Package and the Public Auditorium Separation Package. These were conducted before the Criteria Architect had finalized the Design Development Package. RPMI created 108 architectural contract drawings (not including early packages noted above).

Project GMP Value: $348,000,000
