The East High School Gymnasium Reconstruction is the first facility to receive modernization and upgrades under the Cleveland Municipal School District's (CMSD) System Revitalization Program.
The Gymnasium Reconstruction is to replace the existing gymnasium, and to provide a facility which complies with the requirements of CMSD, OSFC and the community. This new gymnasium is designed for a seating capacity of 2,200 people. It includes the addition of new support activities and spaces to meet Ohio School Facilities Commission's (OSFC) Physical Education requirements.
The reconstruction includes upgrades to the environmental system and to incorporate new technologies and equipment consistent with OSFC standards. This facility will house one competition court and 2 practice courts, new locker rooms, physical health classroom, a training room and coaches offices.
