The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved a different concept in providing housing for the elderly; instead of apartments in high-rise buildings, the cluster homes are 3 or 4 apartment units attached together on-grade with easy access to the outside with individual entrances, mailboxes, etc.
RPMI designed the Eliza Bryant
Cluster Homes for 44 family units in eleven structures
clustered on the campus of
Parking areas are carefully located on the perimeter with appropriate access for package delivery and the physically challenged. The Landscape Design is carefully between buildings, trees, shrubs and fences to develop a defensible space strategy.
All units were designed in accordance with the guidelines of the Fair
Housing Act.
