Social Impact

Gabrielle White took some time away from RPMI to teach Rosie's Girls, a 2 - week program designed for young girls to learn about non-traditional jobs for women! Gabrielle herself is a graduate of Rosie’s Girls and welcomed the opportunity to give back. Rosie's Girls is a starting point for girls entering 6th-8th grade to learn about gender equality so that the community can take steps toward breaking boundaries created by gender stereotypes. Rosie’s Girls targets to enhancing social skills, boost self-esteem, creativity and self-expression. During the camp they also learned hands on construction skills while building jewelry boxes. They also designed popsicle stick bridges, made egg drops, had an intro to architecture and much more!

Tamir Rice Afrocentric Cultural Center

The Tamir Rice Afrocentric Cultural Center is a facility in memory of Tamir Rice. It is designed for children to participate in the arts after school and during the summer. It has classrooms for activity’s and a black box theatre for performances. The purpose is to serve as an enriching location to keep children from unequitable harm.

RPMI is lead designer for the New Greater Cleveland Food Bank Facility located in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood. The new facility will include 151,000 SF of warehouse space and 47,000 SF of office space and enable the GCFB to increase its distribution of perishable food, including fresh produce and prepared meals, which now makes up two-thirds of the meals the food bank distributes.

Located on an 18-acre parcel of land on Coit Road, the new building will house all intake, distribution, and production activities and is designed to satisfy both the Food Bank’s short-term needs and long-term growth. GCFB is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio.

Cuyahoga County Men’s Shelter Expansion

Wilson Bruce Evans home is a historic preservation project located in Oberlin, OH. This historic home was built by a free slave in 1856. The home served a major stop on the Underground Railroad. It is currently being rehabilitated to become a museum.

Wilson Bruce Evans Home Renovation

Project in Palm Coast, Florida. RPMI prepared a program, floor plans and renderings for use in fund raising. This orginaization’ goal is to develop academic and athletic excellence through mentoring while providing students with leadership skills characteristic of becoming outstanding and productive citizens within the community. It was a natural fit for our new mission statement and we were delighted to help them.

Florida Recreation Center

RPMI is lead designer for the conversion of an industrial building and new connection link to an existing men’s shelter in Cleveland Ohio. The existing shelter operated by Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry was already the largest shelter in the State of Ohio and is increasing capacity for the expanded need in Cuyahoga County. The renovated facility shall contain 100 additional beds, shower and restroom facilities as well as community spaces for the men, plus secure outdoor space for recreation. The project contains 12,000 square feet on the first floor and an additional 2,000 square feet on the second floor for LMM offices. RPMI and the owner utilized this image as inspiration for the sleeping area.
